Tag and tidy up

Have your downloads arrive already tagged

You have a folder where your downloads land. You want each new track to come into Surco and tag itself, without dragging anything again.

Settings, just once

Open Surco's Settings (⌘ , on Mac) and find each option by its name.

  • SettingsSearchAuto-match on importOn

Looks up each new track in your sources and adds its details when it's sure.

Then, each time

  1. 1

    Drag your downloads folder in

From then on Surco watches it, subfolders included.

  2. 2

    Download as usual

When a new track lands, Surco tells you there are new tracks in that folder, with a “Load” button.

  3. 3

    Click “Load”

The track joins the list and auto-match tags it when it's sure.

  4. 4

    Review and convert

Check the ones left “To confirm” and click “Convert”.

  • The notice closes on its own after a few seconds. Tracks you don't load aren't offered again, but you can drag them in any time.
  • On a NAS, a new track can take a few minutes to show up.
  • Watching lasts while Surco is open. When you open it again, drag the folder in again.
