Tag and tidy up
Make your Apple Music library spell things one way
Mac only
In your library the same artist shows up as “DJ Lara” and “Dj Lara”, accents don't match and invisible spaces slipped in when you copied from a website. You want it all consistent without going track by track.
Settings, just once
Open Surco's Settings (⌘ , on Mac) and find each option by its name.

Then, each time
- 1
Open the review
From the File menu, or with ⌘K, choose “Review metadata in Apple Music…”.
- 2
Pick how each group should read
Each group gathers the ways the same thing is written, and Surco marks the most used one. Change it if you like and click “Unify”.
- 3
Decide on the possible typos
“Armin van Buren” for “Armin van Buuren” shows in amber and never joins the batch on its own. If they're not the same, choose “Not the same”.
- 4
Click “Apply”
At the top, then confirm. When it's done, a summary says where each change went.
- The change reaches the file and Apple Music, and rekordbox, Engine DJ and Traktor if you sync them.
- Before touching anything, Surco keeps a copy of every file. “Undo” puts it all back.
- BPM, key, cue points and rating are left alone.
- If a DJ app is open, Surco offers to close it.
